Postponed Due to Weather: Join The Garden Club of Weaverville for Our March (Members Only) Walk at Pearson’s Falls & Glen

Postponed Due To Weather

On Tuesday morning, March 13, 2018, we are planning a spring wildflower tour to Pearson’s Falls & Glen. See below image for departure instructions.

This preserve is owned and maintained by the Garden Club of Tryon.

We’ll carpool to the site, which is near Saluda and about an hour drive from downtown Weaverville.

*Instructions*

Meet for carpooling at the Town-hall parking lot. We will depart promptly at 9 a.m.  Please arrive by 8:45 a.m.  We are scheduled to arrive at the falls around 10 a.m.

After the visit, we will enjoy lunch at West First restaurant in downtown Hendersonville.

This tour is for members only and reservations are required

Please email Annick Flaxman (Annick@Flaxman.us) by March 12, 2018 at 5 p.m. if you are planning to attend, so she can effectively coordinate carpooling and reserve a table for lunch.

We’ll take an easy .6 mile paved path to the falls.

Each side of the walk, all the way to the falls, is covered with a wide array of spring ephemerals. We’ll also encounter a moss-covered rock outcrop which sustains wonderful water-loving plants.

This walk is delightful, and there will be a small entrance fee.

After our tour, we’ll drive to a nearby restaurant for lunch.

See www.pearsonsfalls.org/ for additional information about the preserve.
