Program: Getting the Most from Your Vegetable Garden

Deanne Eversmeyer, in her previous life, managed the grounds crew at the National Cathedral and the landscape department at Washington Golf & Country Club. In her current life at Hope Springs Farmlet and Chicken Ranch, she is putting her degree in horticulture, 40+ years of gardening and 8 years of vegetable gardening here in the Reems Creek valley to work growing all of her produce in her 2,000 square foot garden.  She will share tips and practices to ensure top vegetable production throughout the year, including timing, trellising, double-cropping and simple winter ‘blankets’ that bring lettuce to the table in January and February.
