Do roses truly love garlic?
How about tomatoes and marigolds?
How can we sort it all out? Let’s see if there is any sound basis for this old-fashioned theory that has now made a comeback, thanks to organic gardeners. Annick Flaxman, the Garden Club’s Program chair, will present this program. Bring your expertise to share if you like.
Mary Hugenschmidt, a long time Master Gardener with a special interest in group-shared gardening, will bring us the list of native plants she has selected for our downtown parking bed renovation. This workshop of sorts will permit us to work with her on planning a lovely four-seasons new bed, full of drought-tolerant and pollinator-friendly plants.
We enjoyed a delightful presentation on shade-loving perennial plants suitable for our area. Our presenter was Tanya LaCorte from Reems Creek Nursery.
