Do you know the best ways to support a range pollinators in our area and why?

Keep checking this site for more information! Dr. Alicia Hulse would have discussed the Conservation Board’s project to increase public awareness of the need to provide habitat for our native pollinators. Information will be available about the groups of native pollinators that need our help and identify the kinds of native plants that are most needed to support them.

Alicia has provided an overview of the project plans, including participation by the Garden Club (see below). For more information from the Town of Weaverville on this project, anyone may sign up for the new e-newsletterhttp://www.weavervillenc.org/  in Quick Links on the right.

companion plantsHow can we sort it all out? Let’s see if there is any sound basis for this old-fashioned  theory that has now made a comeback, thanks to organic gardeners.  Annick Flaxman, the Garden Club’s Program chair, will present this program. Bring your expertise to share if you like.
